The White Fringetree (Chionanthus virginicus) is a graceful deciduous tree native to eastern North America, known for its profusion of fragrant, fringe-like white flowers in spring. It thrives in moist, well-drained soils and adds beauty to landscapes with its striking appearance and attractive berries.

 

Height range: 12-20 feet

Spread range: 10-15 feet

Ideal soil type: Moist, well-drained soil

Light Requirements: Full sun to partial shade

Usage: Ornamental tree for gardens, landscapes, and naturalized areas

Wildlife Benefits: Provides food for birds and wildlife; supports pollinators
